I personally am 2 for 6 on going with Miami this year and unfortunately those two wins came early. My wife is alumni from the "U" and I have to quit listening to her. My gut tells me that I like Miami in this one but my brain is telling me to lay off period. Will I listen to my gut or my brain? Neither most likely so I might can figure out how to lose both ways if I think about it too much. I appreciate reading the post from most of the guys on this site although you can tell that some folks are just here to stir shit and try and make it stink. I am relatively new and don't post my picks on line.......and most likely I have saved some people a few bucks here lately as I have been in a slump. Went up 35K early and gave about 23Kf of that back since the world series. An old man that had been in the book business since the 40's told me 25 years ago that "you should never bet on football after the world series". For years, I wondered what the hell did the world series have to do with betting on football? However since I have been playing for some 25 years or more.........I can honestly say that 90 percent of my winnings have always come before mid October. That first 7 or 8 weeks has been golden for the most part, but the player and gambler in me won't let me walk away after killing them for 8 weeks and almost every year......it has been the same old story. Win a bunch and give a bunch back. I wish I would grow up one day and pull my head out of my ass!!

Hey Wayne-

I don't come around very much, have not been betting much as of late, but do check in once in a while. I have a neice that I love like a daughter who went through the same thing. Her mom pretty much chose her crumb of a boyfriend over her and she now lives with my family. She's also a senior in highschool and it's very difficult for her to understand how her own mother could have chosen someone else over her. Love him with all your heart bud...he'll pull through. I tell my neice that life is like that sometimes...you get hurt by people that you thought that you would always be able to depend on. We show her all the love we can and prove to her that she does have people in her life that will always be there for her. I beleive that God sometimes does things to get people out of situations that could have been much worse than what they are going through at the time. If her husband felt that way about your son, who knows how he would have treated him. Stay strong, and trust in God and his plan. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

The GOY was a tuff break IMO, probably because it was one of MY picks as well.
But more importantly, best of luck with the issues you are dealing with. Just one of those is hard enough to handle but all at the same time and working full time, etc. has to be hard. Stay positive!
