You have lost a few battles my friend not the War. When its all said and done and we come to an end a few will remain standing and Im certain you will be at the top of the heap.
When life gives us lemons we will make lemonaide. I use to put vodka in mine but I couldnt keep the car between the little white lines. True story clean and sober still broke and I still love that freakn lemonaide.
Keep your head up and moving forward. When the road gets rough and winding all we can do is slow down and wait for that fine stretch of highway we can put the gas too.

buddy, elliott, I hear what you guys are saying. I know you win some and lose some. I just hate unloading on plays that end like that one did. It hurts me and unfortunately, probably others too. Just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I do not do many GOY calls but that was a bad one. Thanks for the support though. Dan, Thanks man. I really appreciate that. I usually keep my personal life private here. With everybody on the net, some like Me and some simply don't. The ones who don't probably love hearing about bad things that happen to you and they enjoy it. Pretty weird considering they have never met you but on the net, it's typical. It has just been a rough month dan. Not Physically or financially but mentally i guess. I lost my father, stepmother, 2 uncles and a aunt to cancer about 4 or 5 years ago. All 5 passed in a 4 week period. My mother has it now and she has been fighting it for a couple of years. Anybody who has taken care of somebody with cancer knows how mentally draining and disturbing it can be to watch loved ones suffer and go downhill slowly. I've simply been around too much of it lately and it starts to really get to me. On top of that, my ex dropped my son off at the m all 2 days before Christmas with a bag of clothes and 2 christmas gifts and told him to find a place to live. He couldn't reach me at work so he called my sister. She picked him up and dropped him off at my house. It's beyond belief to me that a mother would do that to her son but she did. Her new husband wanted nothing to do with somebody else' kid so she decided he was simply in the way at this point. I'll take him with open arms but she really messed him up by doing that and choosing the husband over her son. He is a senior in high school an hour from my house and now i'm gonna have to have him move schools down here where i live. Simply put, she abandonded him and that isn't easy for a kid to swallow 2 days before christmas. On top of that, i can't get them to stop taking $125 a week child support out of my check without filing a motion and going before a judge. It is a long process and a stressful one with lots of legal paperwork that i need a lawyer for. It will take about 8 weeks and in the meantime, she will continue to get the money weekly even though she abandoned him and doesn't have him anymore. I'm trying to reverse all of the payments and see if i'll be able to get all the money i'll lose back but it isn't a easy process.
Between my mother, my sons new school paperwork, the lawyers and child support process and my sons mental state, it has just been a very draining month and it will be until me and the wife can get it all figured out and fixed. I'm really trying to hold back from going and hurting his mother and her new husband because i have a lot of anger towards what they did right now. My focus and energy has to be on him and everything else right now though and i know that. Sorry to ramble on dan but it almost feels better to let it out. I have a bunch of guys here that i consider friends of mine and sometimes it is better to just type and ease the depression a little bit. Not many know much about me personally here but we are all human off the site and it has just been a tough time lately pal. Thanks for your concerns.Comment

One of the hugest things I have learned in my recovery from alcohol and drugs is that a problem shared is a problem cut in half. Its not what you are dealing with but that phrase holds true in all facets of life. Once you share any issue you are dealing with to anyone else its cuts the problem right in half and feels like a burden has been taken off. I am sorry to hear all the issues you have been going through. Gambling is absolutely nothing in the real scheme of life. Focus on your family and health which are the two most important things in life IMO. I hope the best for your mother and your family going forward....SOBER SINCE MARCH 28TH OF 2007!!!Comment
