  • CFB/NFL Sat-Mon

    CFB YTD 35-28 -2.0 units
    3* 0-1 -3.3 units
    2* 7-8 -3.6 units
    1* 28-18 +8.2 units

The bowl season can't start fast enough for me as my NFL has been awful and my college slipping. My bowl plays last year were monsters: I went 9-3, +9.6 units, including a 4* GOY romp on Tulsa and an easy 3* win with Notre Dame. I feel very confident about this year's bowl slate.

    Saturday:
    1* Wyoming +11
Wyoming has a wide open offense and a very good freshman QB. Fresno's defense gives up lots of points. Wyoming will be highly motivated after a better than expected season while Fresno AGAIN ends up in a crap bowl after being unable to beat Boise and Nevada (as usual). I admit my bias: I think Pat Hill is a bizarre coach in that he only seems to care about non-conf games against marquee opponents.

    Opinion only:
    Central Florida

    Sunday:
    Opinion only:
    Mid Tenn/Southern Miss OVER 57 1/2

NFL YTD: 14-25 -18.2 units (this was once my best sport)
    3* 0-1 -3.3 units
    28 3-5 -5.0 units
    1* 11-19 -9.9 units

    2* Seahawks -6
Tampa can't score. Seattle is much better at home. Did I mention Tampa can't score? The Bucs had only 6 (!) first downs last week and while Seattle's D isn't as good as the Jets, the offense has put up several good showings at home.

    1* Ravens -11
The Bears are just lost. With the clock running down last week, Lovie called a timeout and then threw a challenge flag. He lost the challenge so he lost two timeouts. The clock had already stopped for an incomplete pass. I think I'll go against a moron who doesn't know the rules.

    1* Chargers -6 1/2
San Diego is playing great football right now and Cincy looked awful in Minnesota. The death of Chad Henry creates an unknown intangible but I think San Diego is on a major roll and has the advantage of playing at home against a team with a lot of issues.

    Monday:
    1* Redskins +3 (-125)
New York had its season on the line last week and home and gave up 45 points. Their defense looked looked old. Washington, on the other hand, is on fire right now and really rallied behind Zorn.

I think the Ravens win too but you know what's funny, about 3 weeks ago when the Ravens were playing the Colts Harbaugh did exactly the same thing. He got lambasted in the papers and on talk radio for that mistake, which may have cost the Ravens a win. There were about two and a half minutes left in the game and the Colts were trying to run out the clock. Harbaugh called a timeout and then challenged the play, which he lost, thus burning the Raven's last 2 timeouts. The Ravens got the ball back but only with 25 seconds left, trailing by 2. Had he not lost both timeouts they would have probably got the ball with about a minute. Good luck with your plays but Harbaugh and Lovie aren't necessarily the sharpest tacks in the box it would seem.

          Futures Plays:

          These two were posted earlier:
          3* Stanford +8
          3* Georgia Tech -4

These two are new and I urge playing them ASAP:
          3* Florida -11
3* Florida State +3 (available now at betmania)

One of the above four will be upgraded to my 4* CFB Game of the Year.

            Nfl add

            1* Jets -7
Line finally posted now that Sanchez is probable. jets defense is awesome right now. NYJ has a chance to win the AFC East and gets an Atlanta team that is beat up and blew its biggest game of the year last week. The weather, if anything, is a plus
