I play unders more often than overs, and I look for the points more often than I give them. I cannot stand laying double digits in either sport, but tonight I will.
I think Central Michigan will SMASH Ohio U, and I think anything under two touchdowns is a gift. LeFevour and Central Michigan have been involved in this "neutral site" game for so many years that Ford Field is a second home, and more importantly Central Michigan scheduled their last 3 games as ESPN night game contests to prepare for this event. Conversely, Ohio played only a single televised night game the entire season, and upended Buffalo by a mere 3 points in the 4th quarter that night. One squad is "big-stage, bright-light" tested, and the other one is not.
Ohio has been an amazingly resilient team, consistenly winning conference games by 3-7 points, and having enjoyed the benefit of not playing against C Michigan in the regular season. But against a slate of very similar opponents, C Michigan has scored 52 offensive TDs while yielding 22 TDs. Ohio has scored 30 TDs, while yielding 28.
Theo Scott has been an effective QB for Ohio, with a solid trio of decent receivers, but he is not in the same talent pool as LaFevour, and Ohio simply does not have the weapons to keep pace with what CMichigan can accomplish offensively. I expect a double digit lead at the half, and I expect that lead to double by game's end. LeFevour is going to be unleashed to his fullest one last time, and the best MAC QB since Roethlisberger will put up monster numbers here.
CENTRAL MICHIGAN -13.5
Good luck.
