I came across a system for totals. I am only going to use it in the NBA.

NBA

Boston +2
Denver -9
Boston over 186.5
Denver over 211.5

NHL

Columbus -160
NY Islanders +140
LA Kings -130


The ncaa system is going to sit idle for a few weeks. I am disappointed how it started.

its a simple little formula but it works out pretty decent. I will show example of tonights game.


pts for pts agst
Boston 98.6 90.2
San ant 106.3 96.3

totals 204.9 186.5

always divide off/def

204.9 divided by 186.5 =1.09

Since its over 1.0 it should be offensive pace. Take 1.09 and multiply it by the offensive totals.

1.09x204.9= 223.3 (this should be the total)

total set at 186.5 The play would be over. I usually make it a play if it gets atleast 10 points either side of total.

If your divided total is less than 1.0 (say .93) you would multiply the .93xthe defensive total to get your total for the game.
