Thursday:
1* Oregon State +10
Oregon is probably the better team here but only by a little bit. I've been arguing all year that six PAC-10 teams are essentially equal (Oreg, Oreg St, USC, Stanford, Ariz, Cal). Therefore, I can't turn down this many points in the biggest game in the history of this rivalry (winner wins the conf).
Friday:
2* Central Michigan -12 1/2
Top play of the weekend. C Mich has dominated the MAC this year and has a great offense led by future-NFL QB LeFevour. They are three TDs better than the rest of the league. Ohio-U won the far softer eastern division of the league but has only a so-so defense and won't be able to stop C Mich.
Saturday:
1* Rutgers -1
West Virginia has to be drained after playing Cincy and arch-rival Pitt. Rutgers has an excellent defense and gets to return home after two road games.
1* Florida -5
Florida is the best team in the country and laying less than a touchdown. While Alabama's defense is outstanding, many forget Florida's D is just as good. I see no way they can keep up if the Gators get a lead.
Opinions only:
Houston
Georgia Tech
NFL:
I'll write these up later but am betting them now as I expect both lines to move up:
1* Chiefs/Broncos OVER 38
2* Packers -3 (Monday)
3* 0-2 -6.6 units
2* 7-7 -1.4 units
1* 27-16 +9.9 units
