Hi all,
Certainly not trying to gloat, but we've gone 7-0-1 in the last 2 nights on the ice!! I know I'm destined to get screwed tonight by either A) Atlanta or B) Washington, but here it goes:
Vancouver (+115) @ Boston
This is a matchup of the two best teams in the NHL right now, even though Vancouver has been on a bit of a skid. The Canucks have lost 2 straight on the road and 3 of the last 4 overall. Boston is just 0-2-1 this season in their first game back at home after a road game. They have scored 4 or more goals in their last 4 games including a 4-0 shutout last night. Boston is 3-1 ATS against Vancouver in the last 3 years, but just 2-2 ATS against them at home. Goalie Dan Cloutier has a .931 save percentage on the road. The fact of the matter is, Boston is the hotter team. However, it's difficult for NHL teams to win 4 or more games consecutively so we'll take the Canucks tonight and see if they can get back on track before heading home where they have yet to lose!
Vancouver 5*
Atlanta @ Philadelphia (-185)
Philly seems to own the Thrashers as they have an 11-2-3 all-time record against them. The Flyers are 6-0-2 this season and have lost only one home game to the Thrashers during this series (5-1-2).
The Thrashers are an ailing team with key players out indefinitely or for the next 2-3 weeks at least. (Marc Savard, Dany Heatley)
We look to Philly to continue their home dominance.
Philadelphia 5*
Washington @ Carolina (-135)
This game scares us. The Caps should NOT be this bad. Olaf Kolzig, Jaromir Jagr....why do they suck?? I don't know, and I don't care!! I am afraid that the ML isn't around -165 or higher, but that might be a reflection on how mediocre the Hurricanes are.
Carolina 5*
Edmonton 5* NO WRITE UP...SORRY!
Good Luck,
The Ham mer
