My take on Texas Tech @ Texas
This looks like a nasty blowout. The Longhorns have plastered four consecutive opponents including Nebraska and Okie State--both better teams than Texas Tech.
They've found a dangerous offensive formula running an in the backfield option that makes excellent use of the talents of power runner Cedric Bensen and slashing QB Vince Young.
When teams stack the line to stop the run, Texas's talented WRs find lots of space. Tech's 7-3 vs a schedule that has not seen them face Texas, OU, Nebraska or Kansas State the four Big 12 teams with the best records.
The last two weeks (vs Colorado and Baylor) make it look like the Raiders defense is improving. It had better . Texas gets 5.2 yards per rush. Tech allows 4.9 and remember, that's against opposition not nearly as good as UT. Tech allows a large 7.8 yards per pass attempt. Texas gains a huge 8.7.
Looks like the Horns can score 50, 60 or maybe 70 here.
