Lousy 1-2 last night dropping the 2 bigger ones. Disappointing but looking to make a comeback tonight. Going with 3 again--
4*Montreal Canadiens -0.5 -110 (60 minutes)...Hard to play a team that has only 3 wins, all via OT/shootout. This team continues to improve and they should be able to handle a NYI team which lacks in talent/speed and whose size shouldn't be a factor. Montreal will outshoot/outchance and should be able to find the back of the net more than enough times to win this one. If NY doesn't win last night then this line is -200ish but perception will be that they are coming on. I don't buy it, Montreal takes this by 2 goals +.
3*Phoenix Coyotes ML +100...public biting on Detroit based on the last decade of dominance. They will get there again this year but at the moment, and I don't know how, Phoenix has put all the crap behind them and are playing fantastic hockey. Their goalie is hot hot hot and this is a great price for a team whose stock is rising vs a team facing the opposite.
2*Philadelphia Flyers -0.5 -110 (60 minutes)...yes the Bruins won last night but they barely squeaked out a home win vs lowly nashville. Boston is in for a tough ride imo w/o leading point scorer Marc Savard and tough guy Milan Lucic. Philly is a big team and they should be able to take advantage of a shorthanded, and maybe tired Boston team.
