I was at Silver Legacy this afternoon when the line moved up to 3.5, and the action of the "quiet quails" as I've heard them called was immediate. Thousands rolled in on Miami immediately, and mine was only a small percentage of the action.
It should be noted that this is in direct contradiction to the public action which has hit the Jets early, hard, and late. When the quails pounce, I'm happy to be on their side, and in this case, I was happy with my early play of Miami +2.5.
As a Trojan alum, I'm here to tell you that Mark Sanchez is not by any means a QB who can carry the burden of winning on the road by himself, and I don't think the importance of the injury to Jerricho Cotchery can be underestimated. Even if he plays, the injury was bad enough to sideline him for the week of practice, and even if he plays at 75%, this leaves the Jets dangerously short on offensive firepower. The Dolphins have been beaten through the air far more than on the ground, and I just don't think their weaknesses are matchups that the Jets can exploit.
Chad Henne will get spelled by plenty of turns to the Wildcat, and I think the Dolphins have just enough to win what should be a close game, but even if they don't, getting 3 and a hook on the home team seems really out of whack, but was forced by the public money to even things out a bit.
Good luck.
