USA leads 3- to 2-, Justin Leonard choked a 2 footer which would have made it 4 to 2, big swing in the match and may leave a scar on Leonards phyche.
My picks are highlighted in Red
Presidents Cup Odds for Friday
10/09/2009
Goosen/Scott (+110)Mickelson/Leonard (-140)
Leonard not playing that well, big choke yesterday. Adam Scott has something to prove as a Captains pick and played very well. Goosen has as much firepower as Phil.
Els/Weir (Even) MY POD!!!!Furyk/Kim (-130)
Kim drove it all over the place and missed a lot of putts, Furyk is solid but not a birdie machine. Wier played well yesterday and his partner Tim Clark sucked. Els is playing nice and always a threat to make a bunch of birdies.
Ishikawa/Yang (+125)
Perry/OHair (-155) Big Play!!
Anything can happen but the 18year old Ishikawa did not play well and Yang was so-so. Perry is a stud and O'Hair make this a very strong team.
Singh/Clark (Even)
Glover/Cink (-130)
Not a big play. Put a gun to my head and I take Glover/Cink, just better putters than Singh/Clark
Allenby/Villegas (+105)
Johnson/Mahan (-135)
Allenby putting better but still think Johnson is much tougher. Mahan is loose vs the tight wound Villegas.
Ogilvy/Cabrera (+180)Woods/Stricker (-220)
Just not gonna lay juice like this on Tiger/Stricker. Really, Tiger and Stricker are grinders more than aggressive players. This team of Oglivy and Cabrera cut loose in this format which favors the aggressive play.
GL, USA always seems to lose the day in this format and crush in the singles.
