Last weekend was my worst in FB in a long time as I went 0-4 college and NFL combined. I'm now 0-4 in games involving Hawaii and Notre Dame so I'll try the strategy of avoiding those two teams this weekend.....
1* Clemson -13 1/2
This is Friedgen's worst team at Maryland while Clemson has one of the strongest defenses in the country. Here's the key to my pick: Clemson has played some great defenses and should break out against an awful Maryland D that gave up 35 to James Madison and and 32 to Middle Tennessee. And, Maryland can't run the ball.
1* Miami-Florida +7
Miami has played a brutal schedule but will be fired up as they return home and only play an FCS team next week. This is one of the few games Oklahoma will play all year in which the opponent has more speed. This is Oklahoma's first true road game (BYU loss was on neutral field.)
1* California +4 1/2
USC just isn't very impressive this year and the QB play is shaky. Cal obviously looked ahead last weekend when humiliated by Oregon but wants this game more than any on the schedule. Cal RB Jahvid Best will be the best player on the field.
1* San Diego State -16 1/2
This is an absolute play against New Mexico State, an awful team that will let down after upsetting in-state rival New Mexico (another awful team). SD held its own on the road last week against a solid Air Force team. Three weeks ago, New Mex State almost lost to Prairie View. Blowout.
1* Florida Atlantic -3 (-120)
Great spot to go against Wyoming which is coming off a conference win last week and has another conference game next week. Flor Atlantic has an excellent QB in Rusty Smith and has had to play South Carolina and Nebraska. They're 0-3, really need a win and have a bye next week.
Opinions only:
Colorado (Thursday)
North Carolina
Western Michigan
NFL:
I'll post all my plays later but I'm using this one right now before the line goes higher (which it will):
1* Vikings -3 (-125)
Packers can't stop the run. Favre might not have to pass more than two times.
