Symon out for Tex Tech?

I read from a reliable source on another site that B.J. Symon, the QB for Texas Tech, got hurt in practice yesterday and will miss this Saturday's game against archrival Texas!

Take this info with a grain of salt, but I liked Texas anyway and I think a small bet on the Longhorns is warranted before (if) it goes off the board.

I can't find any confirmation that Symons is injured. Injury reports list him as "Probable", listing his knee as the injured part.

If I find any update, I'll post it here.

From the Amarillo Globe News:

"A severely sprained knee may render it a moot point. Symons said he was "day-to-day" after being hit on the left knee against Baylor last week.

Tech won't say how serious the injury is. But Symons appears to be one rough sack away from suffering major ligament damage.

Symons, however, said his desire to play trumps the injury."...

The poster at the other site (who is a long-time, credible poster) claims that he has inside info that places Symon as not going to play vs. Texas.

If it's that serious I would think that he wouldn't play.

I see the game is off the board at Pinnacle now, although I do not know for sure why.
