Usually stay away from the MNF contests, as they offer the books the bulk of public money, and an energy that can make capping problematic.
But to keep it simple, I don't think nearly enough is being made of how important Anthony Gonzalez is to this Colt offense now that Marvin Harrison has ridden away. Harrison seemed to lose a step every week last season, but I bet Manning would welcome him as a starter in a heartbeat tonight. He always knew where Harrison was, and where he was going to be, and everything from the Indy press this offseason pointed to the time and energy that Manning was putting in to try to duplicate that with Gonzalez.
With Gonzo down, do you think Manning will have instant chemistry with Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon? You think the Dolphins may have schemed to gameplan the hell out of R Wayne? I personally think this is the most mediocre Colts starting offense that we have seen since Edgerrin James was drafted.
That said, I don't have much faith in Miami finding scoring opportunities any easier than they were last week, and for that reason, though I lean to the home team getting points, I am playing large stakes on the under 42.
