  • $$$CFB Picks for 11/15/03$$$$$

5* Mich St. (+2) Look for Jeff Smoker to have a big day. After two straight losses to Michigan and Ohio St, he should find this week much easier against a weak Wisconsin secondary, which allows 255.7 yards per game amongst league play.

5* Houston (-10) Houston needs this one to be bowl eligible. Houston coming off three straight losses against Memphis, TCU, and Souther Miss. with Louisville and UAB remaining. Army coughs up the ball on an average of two times a game. That is worth at least 10 points. The Cougs will have their way with the Cadets.

4* Missouri (-13.5) Missouri at home is tough! Just ask Nebraska. Brad Smith will have one hell of a day tearing up that weak A&M defense. A third string back really gave the Aggie defense hell last week. A&M's only two wins this season in the BIG 12 is Baylor and Kansas at home. Tigers in another stomping for A&M.

4*Tulsa (PK) The Golden Hurricane with 7 wins this season!! WOW!! They can be bowl eligible with a win here, and I think they can do it!! At home for Senior day, Coach Kragthorpe will have these boys ready and fired up. Hell they have only won 3 games the last three years, now you tell me they won't be ready!!
Tulsa held Boise State's air attack to only 27 points and will do the same with Luke McCown and the Bulldogs.

3* Colorado (-7.5) This one is easy. It is called fade Iowa St as they are 0-7 ATS the last 7 games. I guess this team has just given up. The Buffs coming off a huge win last week look to improve the running game and leave here with a W, as they face Nebraska in their final game.

3*Rice (-6) They are playing SMWho? With the home team winning in the last six meetings between these two, I have to believe that the Owl's potent option run attack can handle the winless Mustangs.

2*Notre Dame (-8.5) Notre Dame has had the much tougher schedule here. Byu is a little banged up at the QB position as both have hand injuries. I didn't know BYU ran the ball so how do they plan on scoring?

    Good Luck Everyone!

I think I will lock up Colorado as well, Iowa St. is just horrible.

How do you figure the Cowboys will fare this week? I would expect they come out fired up, and be a little pissed off due to the past couple of weeks.

      What's your take on it?

I tend to believe that Oklahoma St. has given up on the season pretty much after those last 2 losses. I would think that they could cover against Kansas, but looking at how they got romped of late I'm not playing it.

          O-State

EZ- thanks John, I like your card as well.

Sportstar- I really think this game is a no play, due to the fact that when the line was set it was determined Whiittemore would not play. I think that is why it is in the 20's. Now they are saying Whittemore could play. Another aspect is that my Cowboys are really and I mean really banged up after the last two weeks of ass kickings they have taken. Bell, Shaw, and half of our O-line is Questionable for the game. I don't think Tatum will play, since he has not even practiced. If I had to play I would have to take the points.

BC- Believe me they have not given up on the season. OSU is still trying to get over the hump. We should finish 9-3 and I can remember a couple years ago when that record was flopped. As a true OSU fan I can honestly say I am happy with what they have done this year and I am proud. The 3 losses we have are to 3 great programs. Here is the kicker we are bowl bound two years in a row and we are improving every year! They will play conservative and try to get everyone healthy for the bowl game. Then you can watch them turn it on BC!! :D

Orangecrush I figured you would be on Texas. I look for them to roll this week and make another statement. What do you think about the OSU- Purdue game. I think the Buckeys are starting to peek now. I really like them at home.

                    Gage

I do like Texas! Especially since I heard that Symons is a little banged up. Texas D will have him on the run and not let him sit in the pocket.

Ohio St offense really has come on the last couple of weeks. Only giving 3.5 points, I would have to play the Buckeyes. I think their D will give Purdue some problems. OSU should shut down the run and force Purdue to go to the air and that isn't a good thing with Ohio State's D backs. I would buy a half point and get it down to 3. Good Luck!
