I may be wrong about this pick but all logic is on my side. Baseball is, and always will be, a game of STREAKS. Good times can get cold and bad teams can get hot. It happens to every single team each year. Tampa has lost ELEVEN IN A ROW. Teams like that should never ever be favored. The Rays aren't hitting at all: only eight runs in their last seven games!!!! So why be worried that Baltimore's Hernandez is pitching poorly?? Tampa can't get a hit in batting practice. Orioles just took two of three at Yankee Stadium and face an easier assignment tonight. +130? Give me some.

One other note: Barring a complete collapse, this will be my fourth year in a row winning more than half my dogs right here on this site (all moneylines). There's always a reason a team is a dog; in the case of today's pick it's that Baltimore has had an awful year and has a shaky pitcher. This scares people away. But the added money of a dog more than makes up for the risk if you choose them carefully. I am very selective in baseball; this is only my 40th play of the season. The only way I've figured out to play baseball is to go mostly with dogs, never play big favorites and try to grind it out toward nice profits at the end of the year. Historically, for me, September and October are great times to play baseball because some teams just fold in September and favorites are ALWAYS overbet in the playoffs. Now, I'll shut up.
