The bats are too streaky to tell. They were hot for a little bit, but we couldn't hit too much last night. We hit a couple deep balls, but still not enough to keep up with the Phils bats. Jurrjens held them to 2 and that still wasn't enough. I don't see how Kami can do the same and Hamels is definitely a step up from Blanton. All things point to the Phils, but the Braves bats can definitely put some pop together as of late.
I tail Spark and CB pretty regularly, and Spark is on the Phils. But it's a HUGE (to say the least) series for the Braves, so I laid off and am gonna' root for the Braves. Don't forget, we were one walk-ff HR from sweeping the Dodgers in LA.
Even if we don't come away with a series win, I feel really good about their chances.
I think the Braves HAVE TO show up in these next few games. Not only are they 3.5 back in the WC, they also have not 1 or 2 but 3 teams in front of them. September is coming and if they fall any further back, they are done!

HUGE it was and we really needed a sweep.Last night might have took the wind out of the sails.I'm up a little so I ain't going to be too mad if the Braves pull it off but I put my heart to the side and to me that was the POD.Me and the wife are going to see Def Leppard about 5 miles from Turner Field tonight so were going to a bar right there in the middle of it all about 4:00 to watch the game with some friends and the off to hear a little "Pour some sugar on me".

The bats have to show up no doubt but Kawakami is a bust IMO.My pick is pretty much based on Kawakame sucking ass and Hamels being the better starter and after last night Sorianos confidence is probably down a bit also.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if Lowe was pitching tonight I probably would have let it all ride on the Braves.Kawakami ain't no Lowe though
