    Ben Curtis

When Ben Curtis arrived at Royal St. George's on the Saturday before the 2003 British Open, he had never finished in the top 10 of a PGA Tour event. He had never played in a major championship. He was ranked 396th in the world, presumably just behind Ray Romano. Curtis had played only one other links tournament in his life, and that was three years ago in Germany, which is as well known for links golf as England is for wienerschnitzel.

Above is an excerpt from an online article.

Good point Frank--I guess what I was assuming and I shouldn't do that is that he will choke--Curtis was a good story back then--hometown boy from Ohio whose family ran a golf course. I remember coming in from the clubhouse after finishing 18 and seeing on TV that he won---I was amazed!! Maybe this guy has what it takes---time will tell.

Westwood and Goosen favored to win???

        A matchup that puzzles me
Garcia vs Fisher--Garcia is -130 BUT Fisher is + 900 and Garcia is +1200 in a head to head matchup for round three---HMMM think I may take Fisher.

Fisher sitting at + 1 for the day after 13.--SERG--+6 and done for the day--Unless Fisher blows up this one was an easy cash...

I played 4 people to win this thing 2 have a good chance and the other 2 need to have great days.

I played Westwood, Goosen,Rose and Leonard.

So I will cheer for Watson unless one of my guys can pass him

Can't say that I won money on this tourney--but Stenson was a good pick over Furyk. I think in the future some money can be made on these matchups that look odd. I hit head to heads with Serg vs. Tiger..Fisher vs. Garcia and Furyk vs Stenson..hopefully these can be profitable in the future as well..these were all odd to me--except Garcia who was a huge dog--to big IMO
