  • Early Day Game Monday -- WOOF WOOF

I don't usually base my picks on who is pitching but this game is different. Ricky Romero is on a streak of 20 consecutive scoreless innings. Ricky Romero's last six starts were all "Quality Starts". He pitched at least six innings in each start and did not give up more than 3 runs in any of these six starts.

And who is Ricky Romero. HE IS THE DOG against Andy Pettitte. I realize Toronto has lost 8 of their last 10 games; however, the two wins were the two games Romero started. The game goes at 1 PM EDT and look at the price. Six great starts in a row, 20 scoreless innings in a row and counting and HE IS THE DOG.

PLAY TORONTO WITH ROMERO AT PLUS 140.

How To Win Romero's Next Start

THE DOG HANGS ON FOR THE WIN. Romero''s scoreless streak ended at 24 innings when the Yankees scored in the 5th inning but more important was that today was his seventh "Quality Start" in a row. His line today was 6.1 innings, 3 Earned Runs, although he left the game after giving up just one run, with 2 Yankees on base. They scored the Yankees second and third runs when the bullpen gave up a base hit.

This game showed Romero is on a terrific run but it also showed Toronto's bullpen almost lost the game after Romero left with a 7-1 lead. Yes, the Toronto play did win but once Romero left the game, we were at the mercy of the bullpen. YOU SHOULD STILL PLAY TORONTO THE NEXT TIME ROMERO STARTS. OK, LISTEN UP. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

IF YOU CAN, PLAY TORONTO FOR JUST THE FIRST 5 INNINGS. You should have Romero pitching past the 5th innings, meaning we don't care what the bullpen does. Once the game is in the 6th inning, the play for the first 5 inning should have already won.
