Tip your runners?

I thought The Man gives the runner a cut of what he turns in weekly. I never tip my runner! He has the advantage of swallowing plays that are on opposite sides and in my opinion, that's his tip whether it's from my plays or not. He never gives me a break on what I have to pay when I lose, so why would I tip him when I win?
