  • 3 Wise Men Baseball Friday 6/12

Yesterday: The assault on Fat Ass continues as we went 2-1 + Houston, an optional play, won. For the week we are 10-3

    Winning Days: 32

    Losing Days: 21

NHL : Hard to believe , but this morning I heard on 3 separate , popular radio sports shows that no road team has won The Stanley Cup since 1971.

    That’s all I had to hear …

So now that this is out in the open I have to make a decent play tonite on Pittsburgh , knowing full and well that Detroit is much better in all aspects, the best team in hockey , and Chris Osgood is a True World Champion in every sense. ( He’s the Anti – A-Rod , The Anti – Nowitzki , and The Anti - Charles Barkley all wrapped up in one )

If anyone paid close attention to how Detroit totally dominated the 3rd period of game 6 , they know how crazy I am. Good ! I like that .

Having prospered again this year I can well afford to do these kind of things , and if I lose , … well, this is one I have to eat. ( I need to make spiteful and disdainful plays like this one in order to remain true to myself )

So for me its Pittsburgh, taking 190 ( the line opened at –165 for Detroit and is now up to 190 … of course it’s going up … who in their right mind can possibly play the short ? ) I’ll take 190 by game time , because , after all , everyone now knows the road team has not won the Cup in the last 35 years )

    The Plays for Friday
: Top Plays are now 84-58

Interleague Baseball : IL 1* plays are 8-1

    1* Philadelphia + 1 ½ Runs –140

    1* Pittsburgh + 1 ½ Runs –135

    1* Cleveland –110

    1* Atlanta –105

    1* White Sox +115

    1* Texas + 105

    1* Kansas City –110

    1* Seattle + 1 ½ Runs -160

    Best of Luck,

    -Neil

            You're right !!!!

Sure sounded to me like that's what those radio guys were saying. But come to think of it , seems that a lot of road teams won the Cup.

Will make a play on Pittsburgh anyhow just to be contrary.

But Thanks ... I appreciate it

This is from today's baseball report ( above )

" NHL : Hard to believe , but this morning I heard on 3 separate , popular radio sports shows that no road team has won The Stanley Cup since 1971."

This is wrong so ignore the NHL portion of today's Wisemen baseball

my guess is that they are talking about a road team winning game 7. Took a look at 1971 and Montreal beat Chicago on the road in game 7 so that is probably what it is.

Coverboy's favorite sight....... watching these home crowd fans walk out with their heads down in disappointment. Nice job w/ the Pens. And nice job so far with the bases.
