  • No relief in sight!!!!!!

no lead is safe. starters pitch 6 maybe 7 innings top. give to the bullpen to fuck up and boy it seems to happen more than not. as a bettor, leads are never safe and if your down. your not out. over/unders are always won or lost between 8-9 innings. but i guess thats baseball!!!!!!! have a good weekend all!!!!!!

Relief pitchers have been getting me of late as well. Some of these guys shouldn't even be in the majors, but they are because of the lack of talent.

you hit it right on the head!!!!! so right. it becomes frustrating because in the past alot of teams had good 8th and 9th inning guys. i don't see alot this year even on the yankees!!!! hope and pray i guess.

He's getting very predictable and fucking annoying. Needs a 3 run lead to get the save.

One can't really blame the Phillies for sticking with Lidge. Afterall, he was perfect last season. What I wonder is how long managers are going to continue to manage based on pitch count. How many times will it take for managers, GMs and owners to realize it's not how the game was meant to be played? Good starters must be very frustrated. They pitch their asses off. Then hit some magic number and they get yanked irregardless of how effective they're still pitching. The 7th, 8th and 9th innings are almost unwatchable. Even in games they don't blow the save it seems they're still loading the bases before escaping.

as bettors, we think we have the game in the bag thru 7 innings. starters come out cause pitch count at 100 WTF!!!!! arms are so babied these days. nolan ryan said it best. its time to retrain these young arms. bullpen comes in and game is changed. drives me nuts and im sure many others. hitters are getting better and pitchers are not i guess.

Just bet on the Red Sox. Best bullpen era in baseball and the only team with a bullpen era under 3 at 2.77
