For the humor and what-not , but almost everyone took a defensive attitude about thier wagering and if you look at the question that is not in anyway what was asked ?

How many "others" actually wager on thier posts ?

The question still remains and I feel I am not getting a fair and accurate responce , I am not asking who wagers or not , just "do" they wager on what they post ? And if so what percentage does , after seeing the poll up to the moment I feel this has got off on a whole different set of meanings and its not being handled as what was ask .

I at the risk of getting you all in a uproar cant believe that you cant comprehend a simple question , and bolstering your positions about who bets and who dont had no relevence here at all . But even after I point this out it seems thats all anyone wants to concentrate on :confused:

Before I ask to have this thread deleted , because it didnt get a thing accomplished other than everyone swearing they bet . I am simply amazed at all of your votes which no doubt here dont reflect the truth in all ways and didnt even address my question other than savage1 who did raise some valid points that I was going to elaborate on later .

But it seems that no one wants to think about thier bets or how the mind works , or does one get influenced by others , or whatever else happens thru the course of a day !

I think you've gotten two questions rolled into one. Maybe it would have been better to ask:

When you post plays do you personally bet all those plays? And if you do not bet all those plays, what percentage of your posted plays do you bet?

My final take on Memphis's poll is this:
I think part of the problem lies in fact that all of us here are aware of the scamdicappers like Ty Gaston, Jack Price, Jimmy the Fixer, Stu Feiner who both lie about their records and who are proven con artists who would say or do literally anything in order to get someone to buy their picks.
I think when Memphis asked her question a lot of people here took it the wrong way because perhaps on a conscious or subconscious level they thought that perhaps Memphis was implying that some of the folks here were not sincere in the same way as those cited in the previous paragraph,( even though there is no service charge here);that perhaps was the reason for the defensive approach by some stating that they themselves ALWAYS played what they posted here rather than directly addressing Memphis's question.
I myself didn't think of it that way and thought simply that it was an interesting question tempered by fact that I thought it more important that the key ingredient was not whether the folks who posted the picks played them themselves but 1) what percentage of the picks won and 2) how many people other than the poster
would play the picks if the poster was actually any good.

Thanks for your outlook , but I ask one question ( only one ) and it was simple :

Of all the posted wagers seen in this room , How many do you personally think actually play them ?

My poll was to gather moss that would naturally lead to other questions but that would have came later . You assume I was asking you personally about your particular bets and in no way did I do that , its the defensive posture and nature of a gambler to protect thierselves and virtual forums tend to bring that to the surface far to fast in order to keep a status quo ( or ego as was witnessed ) intact . I dont blame anyone for protecting thier stances or positions as I am gulity of such , its really a simple question and this polls results where in my humble opinion so far of base that a t-ball coach wouldnt sign a single one up to play first base.

I was trying to gather light to illuminate certain practices that go hand in hand with " Gamblers Chat Rooms " that you will not see in any other chat room on this planet !

And they would lead to the skills of marketing , offerings , bonuses galore , more wasted space on a web page than a ranch in Texas , chicanery by the tons , and last but by far the most important :

Preying upon those who seek just one thing for the day , A Winner !

Lets face it here imixit , we are a bunch that needs to win in order to feel good about ourselfs ( granted not the only thing ) but its our 1-a-day vitamin for the soul as it strokes our prowess as a prognosticator and gives us a one way ticket to easy street if we ever achieve excellence . And dont ever think for a minute that these lurkers arent aware of our needs , wants or desires .

I will go so far as to tell you that I voted 0 to 25 % ( and one of few ) and having been in the business of selling picks for many years now I know this happens for a fact ! This is not magic , it is not a cloud that decends upon you and makes you immune to bad decisions , its gambling . There are those who say that dicipline , money management are the first things needed to be learned in this rackett , and granted they have to be in place but I have found that being able to shrug off a bit of bad advise to be as important as anything we do !

I am sorry and I can get boring but I just never got what I ask for , so what ? , its not like I was taking thier money , I leave that to others !

I was going in the direction you have offered already and you are on the money brother when it comes to these questions .

Just how many do you need to land in the pond , when you have a whole nation , hell a whole world to pick from ? 1 in 500,000 will make you wealthy , 1 in a 1,000,000 wil let you quit your day job , 1 in 10,000,000 will give you one hell of a supplemental income .

I guess I underestamated the ego of a gambler here , and I have learned from this myself because it seems they will go to great lengths to hold high on thier word , quite unlike others who instead count money as a standard excellence.

I agree my whole goal is to win money. I personally would give a TOTAL RATS ASS, if someone thinks I'm a good capper.

If I'm in the plus at the end of the day thats all that counts in my book. I don't care if I get the play from myself, you, wayne, EZ or even my SON. All that counts is winning everything else I would give a FUCK less.

Agree totally. They would careless about Joe Public as long as their paying for the picks. Also if the give out to many winners the will lose Customers.

If I read this correctly, you’re asking the personal opinion of everyone reading the posted picks, what percentage of everyone on the forum bet someone else’s picks.

It’s on your next post that it gets confusing. You state: “As I find it interesting that there are on any given day hundreds of angles from less than hundreds of players and this leads me to question why someone would throw out information that ' they ' themselves have no vested interest in ?” This is beginning to sound like you are asking the people posting their own picks if they actually bet on the picks they post.
