Looks very promising that Rachel Alexandra, the outstanding filly who won the Kentucky Oaks by 20 lengths, will run in the Preakness. I think the Derby showed that this is a mediocre field of three year olds and if she runs she will most likely be the the favorite. Was wondering what some of the experienced horse players here (JC, Wayne, Gris, Bill Mill, etc.) think about her chances running against the boys. I am personally gonna jump on her as soon as she becomes eligible.

she's a great horse, but I do not think that we can simply look at the derby results, and draw a good assumption of what will happen at the Preakness. The track was super sloppy, and that hurt a lot of good horses that would have fared better on a fast track. P of Nile, Dunkirk, and Hold Me should fare much better on a fast track. I'd wait to put some cash on her because I think her odds will be low at first..

I wasn't named, but I play my share of horses. At this point I certainly wouldn't leave her out of the exotics, but I'd like to see the field before saying much more about her winning. I believe they are expecting a full field too.

I was however super impressed with that Oaks. I stuck it on my DVR and watched it a couple times by myself and showed some others, even non-horse people. Just amazing.

On a more serious note to the question. Of course she will win. Typical female will nag and yap all the males into falling back just so they wont have to hear her shit

I would have to wait until the field is put together and then take it from there. 20 legnths is very impressive but what quality of horses did she beat?? How big was the field?? Did they give her a lead by herself and see just jogged around the track?? I didnt see the race.

think that she will run top 3-4 in the preakness.Kentucky oaks she probably ran the race of her life.ALso doesn't the same trainer or owner own her and mine that bird.so if they both race the preakness wont they be 1 and 1A WHICH WILL FOR SURE GO OFF AS THE FAVORITE.

I personally think she runs away with the Preakness

She is the best 3 year old out there
