Am I missing something or did the Bulls get hosed a point?

Ben Gordon hit a crazy 3 at the 8:30 mark in the first quarter, both his feet were CLEARLY behind the line. The scorekeeper awarded the bulls two points for the shot. At the 3:30 mark the refs went back to look at the shot and declared it a 2 point field goal. The shot wasn't even close to being a 2 pointer, both his feet were multiple feet behind the line. Did anyone notice this? Am I missing something?
