  • Betting lines posted for NFL team season wins

    By Jeff Haney · April 27, 2009 · 5:24 AM

The New England Patriots top the list of NFL team season-win totals wagering with an over/under of 12 regular-season victories, according to newly released odds at the Venetian sports book on the Strip.

Two teams, the St. Louis Rams and Detroit Lions, bring up the rear with an over/under of 5 victories each.

A 30-cent line is currently in place on this wager at the Venetian. That means if the price on an under is minus 140, then the over on that same team would be plus 110; if the under is minus 130, then the over would be even money; and so on.

As always, betting lines can and do change by the minute. It's a good idea to double-check the odds before placing wagers.

The following is the complete listing of 2009 NFL team regular-season victory totals from the Venetian:

    Patriots 12 under -130

    Giants 10.5 under -140

    Chargers 10.5 under -150

    Steelers 11 under -125

    Cowboys 9.5 over -120

    Colts 10.5 under -140

    Packers 8.5 over -120

    Eagles 9 under -130

    Saints 8.5 under -130

    Ravens 8.5 under -120

    Titans 8.5 over -130

    Bears 8 over -135

    Panthers 8.5 over -120

think the Bears over 8 is solid, they statisticly have the easiest schedule, this year. I know that goes off of last years records, but with a qb think they get over 8 in a weak divivsion

During the off season last year..... after the Dolphins went 1-15, if I told you they would make the playoffs next year, people would probably would have laughed at that as well. The Lions, like the Fins in the 08-09 season, are perfectly capable of a good year. It's the NFL, the parody is beyond belief, and anything can happen......

Falcons over 8 looks good. Man, that Tony Gonzalez pickup is going to make that offense really tough. Ryan needed a guy like him.

                  Also like

Ravens over 8.5, I just feel like they will be really tough next year. The loss of Rex Ryan is the only thing that makes me worry there.

Eagles over 9. It seems they got a lot better in the offseason.

Cowgirls Under 9.5, Giants, Eagles and Cowgirls can't all win 10 can they? Plus, no one talks about Roy Williams being a cancer. While he may not be TO like in the Cancer department, he is definitely a cry baby and if you think that Dallas will be drama free this year then you are dreaming.

Patriots under 12-Brady or no Brady, I don't think any team in the NFL warrants a 12 as an over.
