These were my Series wagers from round one. I think most hockey fans knew that the San Jose Sharks were the biggest chokers in history going in. They have proved that plenty of times before, even as a 1 seed. They also have the A-Rod of the NHL in Joe Thornton. The guy disappears in the postseason every year. Add to that they got a horrible draw against a very experienced Ducks team that just won the Stanley Cup 2 years ago and that +230 was like STEALING!

I lost Philly to make me (1-1) so far and up good units. I really need the Caps tonight or they will just offset the Ducks wager. Carolina will be tougher on the road but if the Caps can win, it will be a nice profit in round 1.

I loved Thornton when he was here Meg but the guy is BRUTAL in the Playoffs every year. The best thing he did this postseason was win a fight ... but that took him off the ice. How many guys can win league MVP and be on the No. 1 team in hockey and lose in round one of the playoffs? Hasn't he pulled that off twice now? Only him and A-Rod i think!

Totally agree about Thorntons comparison with Arod and the Sharks as chokers. Great call on the Ducks I really tried to put all the history behind me when taking them in the first round as I really thought it was one of their strongest teams I have seen and that this was the year the made it over the hump but when you choke as much as they do I guess it really doesnt matter. GL tonight I am pretty much writing off my Rangers series wager as I would be shocked if the Caps dont get it done tonight. I DESPERATELY need the Devils to go 4-2 on my series wagers for +$80 so take the Caps and root the Devils..
