I fucking hate all the Derby talk cause I usually end up betting way too much on way more shit than I intended to

If I were at a ticket window right now, I'd bet:

$10 across on Pioneer of the Nile

      $10 across on Friesan Fire

$48 on a 4 horse tri box, Pioneer of Nile, Friesan Fire, Dunkirk, and Regal Ransom

My opinion is I Want Revenge wins this race so I'll put him on top and wheel these others for ex, tri, and super.
Musket man, Papa Clem, Pioneer of the Nile, Desert Party, Dunkirk, and General Quarters.
Nothing is as far away as one minute ago.

Gotta throw in Regal Ransom also....these horses are like lays chips....just can't have one!

Win Willy is another scratch, possible hairline fracture. Out for Sat, but should be OK to come back in a month.

Unless you're just playing numbers, which may not be a bad idea in this derby, the Post positions haven't been assigned yet. That list is just a ranking, they draw posts tomorrow.

Keep in mind also, they're calling for UGLY weather Saturday, running in 3 inches of Soup certainly changes the dynamic of this one. And it is DIRT, not the Poly crap that the west coaster like soooo much. POTN has never run on dirt as some of the other ones haven't either.

Watch for Win Willy as a "live" dog, and IWR with young Talamo on board!!
There are only 5 horses that have run on an off track in this derby. If its going to be bad, its going to be more of a crap shoot than trying to handicap this race on a fast track.

Friesan Fire would be my top pick right now if its sloppy.

Musket Man if its not with Friesan Fire 2nd.

              General Quarters

Win Willy was on of my top 5 and in my exotics, now have to look for another, think things may clear up later when they draw for positions and the official odds are out

Regal Ransom's chances got better with a great post position draw.

                    What's not to like?

Three prep races......monster Beyer figures as a two-year old.....imrpoved as the distances got longer and LONE SPEED.
Hot rider in Alan Gracia.....fast five furlong workout Saturday.

                    Right now, it's:

                    Regal Ransom
                    Friesan Fire
                    Dunkirk

I Want Revenge won't hit the board

                        Betting doesn't open until Friday.

However, many books have their own odds. They are all over the map. You'll probably get a better price when the regular bet pools open Friday.

I know. I just heard ESPN had the odds on tv and i missed them. Was wondering which of these 10 were favored after the Top one.

Right now i'm down to the #11, #15 & #16. I need to figure out which one to eliminate so i can play the other two across the board.
