  • Steelers vs. Seahawks

Seattle has been horrid at laying the chalk and Pittsburgh on the road has been consistantly positive ATS as a dog.

Read this about the Steelers now going back to the way of playing that got them known as the Blitzburgh defense:

The Steelers set a team record in 1994 with 55 sacks. They enter the 4:05 p.m. game today against the Seahawks a much different defense. They've traded sack time for nap time. They've played a softer, cover-at-all-costs defense that has produced just 13 sacks, on pace for a 15-year low of 30.

They've gone from Blitzburgh to Phhhhtsburgh, the air taken out of their aggressive defense in exchange for the cover-2.

Today, they expect to alter that. They expect to put on the blitz against Seattle (5-2) and quarterback Matt Hasselbeck as a way to energize a defense riddled by 375 yards worth of passes last Sunday, and to find a way to stop a four-game losing streak.

    Go Black and Gold!

"We've addressed it and we'll remedy that," said defensive coordinator Tim Lewis.
