  • Happy easter from the john thames family

Thanks, folks, for all the neat notes. Does an old man good to know he's thought of. I don't have the energy to type, but my wife is doing this for me. I had battled chest congestion for about six weeks and never completely went away. My internist saw something suspicious on the EKG so I've been going to heart specialist for four weeks and doing all the stress tests, CAT scans, etc. Went to church Sunday to get an extra prayer in before heart cath and could barely get thru that. It so happened that my heart doc was there and took one look at me and sent me to emergency room where they fairly quickly diagnosed what I have--it's called BOOP, which is an inflammatory disorder of lungs and if not taken care of can completely destroy the lungs. I certainly dodged a bulled. Stayed in hospital for three days, had massive antibiotics, etc. and am so much better. It's one of those things where the doctors said the body attacks a foreign substance in body and plays havoc with everything. I'll be on steriods for a year to completely eliminate all traces of it. So, guys, I'm on the mend and feel a lot better. When I get my strength back I'll check in with you all. Take care and again I appreciate ya'll. Good luck to each and every one of you!!
