  • Phillie Fans or anyone. Question?

Any news in town on just how healthy Hamels is???? I see varying reports, and wanted to know if any of you guys have the inside track on this? Just how healthy is he right now??

    Thanks in advance.

Seems like a good play especially considering the awful Spring Marquis had. Might take the Phillies team total.

Me too, BW. Hamels on a pitch count and Phillies hitters have good historical numbers against Marquis. Calm day in Denver - winds 1 mph. Don't have any umpire data, but I do like the over.

Hamels is healthy but will be on a pitch count today. He threw well over 260 innings total last year and had a tight forearm in Spring Training. The Phils are being overly cautious with Cole for good reason, he is the franchise's best arm. I saw him pitch on Saturday against the Rays and his velocity is up and after wards said he felt great. Even on a pitch count I could see him going 6 innings. If he goes short then expect Chan Ho Park to be middle relief.

Coors would not be my 1st choice to pitch the 1st game of the season coming off an incomplete Spring...too many unknowns here and Hamels does give up the long ball, even when healthy...I would stay away or possibly play the Over

Thanks LV, I played the Phils Team Total over. As Marquis had an awful spring, and the phils hit him well.
