I would have played Atlanta -1.5 but they seem to struggle against Washington for some reason on days when they shouldn't. I remember a few times in the past where someone like Smoltz was starting and the Braves lose a low scoring game or win by 1. I'd rather wait a little bit before laying 1.5 with them especially after the blowup in Philly.
Considering making the Cubs my first 5 unit play of the year. I saw Looper once or twice in spring training and he did not look good at all. Looper only started a couple of Cactus league games and he gave up 7 runs on 14 hits in 6 innings. Milwaukee has had 5 hits each of the last two games and got 6 hits on in their first game after s very sub-par Lincecum left the game after 3 innings. Add it together and that is 16 hits in 24 innings agains very so-so pitching. Cubs on the other hand have had 27 hits in 27 innings to start the year and it looks like they are just playing better to start off. The Cubs have hit Looper very well in the past.
