UCONN went (39-0) and they were the 1st team in history (Men or Women) to Win every game this season by Double Digits.

They beat ranked opponents by an average of over 30 ppg.

They won their 39 games by an average of 30.3 ppg

They Won their 6 Tournament games by an average of 25.1 ppg.

You guys that don't even want to think beyond the word height or weight simply have tunnel vision (IMO). This isn't your average women's basketball team or normal women in general. This is a team of great shooters, great fundamentals and great coaching. No other womens or mens team has done what they did this year and against NJIT, i think they would probably be favored. They have talent and more importantly, basketball players.

Of course it's not as simple as height. But the girls can't keep up with the guys in regards to speed and strength. They are at an extreme disadvantage in every aspect.

The guys would easily score in excess of 100 points. The girls wouldn't score 40 points.

No way in your right minds could anyone think that the women would beat the worst team out there.the worst team mens would beat uconn by at least 25.they cant match the speed and or agressive type play the men play.this is the easiest poll question ever and not even close men dominate by 25 or more.

Flash and Superman are not real and the Jordan/Lebron years came in different eras. These 2 exist today and could play tomorrow in their prime. Hell, there isn't alot else to talk about and it is a sports talk forum, why not have a fun debate, hypothetical or not.

Yes, however most usually don't last this long. I was surprised a thread like this has gone on so long and am stating that in the end, its all opinions, you won't change anyone else's opinion and they won't change yours.

Well, i love these polls and debates that go on forever. It is a sports talk forum and i am constantly trying to think of polls or topics that will go on for 10 pages. This is great, so we are on opposite sides of that one i guess.

UConn's best player is 5-7. She'd be eaten alive. I don't know NJIT starters. They're guards are 5-11, 6-3, 6-3, 6-1 and 5-11. Which of these guards is Renee Montgomery going to effectively defend? I guarantee they're all bigger, faster and stronger than Renee.

The tallest player on Uconn is 6-4 Center, Tina Charles. She doesn't have a chance vs. 6-9 245 Center.

Frank I iotally understand what you meant by putting the size of njit players here. It makes a huge difference because weight and size matters in any contact sport that you play.

uconn women would have a difficult time getting shots off against this lineup. As a matter of fact njit lost to another crappy team here in chicago,(chicago state)85-69 but they scored 69 points against chicago state.

NJIT WOULD POUND THEM INSIDE, OUTRUN THEM, OUT REBOUND, OUT POSITION THEM BOX THEM OUT. uconn might not get 15 boards the whole night.

This isnt even close. Im amazed that anyone who played sports their whole life would even think this would be possible.

I mean how points would uconn score in the paint?

Oh I forgot they would hit 25 of 40 from behind the arc............

You don't have to constantly remind me this is a sports forum , I know where I am . I never said these arguements were bad, or no fun, I just said I am SURPRISED that this one lasted so long, especially in comparison to other polls that are usually one or two pages. That is my point.
