Sorry but the men are physically better and much more athletically talented. This has been tried with Billie Jean and it took beating Bobbie Riggs at 60 years old and he still almost took her. Michele Wie. Failed.

John Macenroe had said the worst player on the mens tour would kill the best female player. Not even a contest. This would have the same result.

The women would be dominated physically every time down the court. Like someone said, those who have played know the answer. I'm 6'4" and when I play against guys who are 6'0" or shorter, they have no chance.

In college some of the better college women would come out and play pick up games and they had no chance against hack players. They can hit an open jumper, no doubt. But they'd be shooting over a taller mens team all day and would get buried.

Same situation at Cal Poly where I went to school. Players from the girls basketball team would play in pick up games during the offseason. They were marginal or below average at best. Some girl learned her lesson when she tried driving into the paint and some guy about 6' 6" rejected the ball into the other direction.

this isnt even close. Not only would a good high school team beat uconn but just thinking about all the division 2 college teams would beat these girls. Hell the guys that were either too short or werent fast enough are still pretty good ball players that cant cut it that level.

I played in HS, my boys played in HS against some of the better HS's in Baltimore. I have seen the top Women HS players in our area, several went to the WNBA. I watched these girls practice with the all the guys, they just cant compare in quickness. Sorry but they are no where near equal.

I actually did this just to bring a little attention to tonight's Women's Title game. I'll be honest in saying i think it worked.

I can't believe the replies and conversation this question brought on and i'm shocked by how close the vote actually is. I thought it would be heavily one sided one way or the other. People obviously disagree on this one though.

I think the question at hand of UCONN vs NJIT has been lost. We are not talking about all men or great high school teams. We are talking about the guys at NJIT who have trouble just dribbling the ball up court!

My wife dragged me to the regional championship game that was played last Tuesday in OKC. God, it was painful to watch. The things I expected to see happen never seemed to happen. There would be stretches where noone could squeeze a rebound and that's with a smaller ball! (learned that from this thread). I've never seen so many point-blank layups missed. and the game did indeed move slowly. I'm glad those young ladies get an opportunity to realize their athletic potential, but I'd just as soon not watch. thank you, but no thank you. There are many loyal fans, however, who prefer the womens' game. I'm just not one of them. My wife bought me tickets to the game I believe to prove a point. The only point she proved was that I can't watch womens' basketball graciously without alcohol. No drinks were served at the game.

Huskies played well tonight. Even with Aureamo having them throw the ball out of bounds intentionally during the final seconds, they couldn't blow the 19-pt cover. I don't think I've ever seen a coach do that before.

UConn's best player is 5-7. She'd be eaten alive. I don't know NJIT starters. They're guards are 5-11, 6-3, 6-3, 6-1 and 5-11. Which of these guards is Renee Montgomery going to effectively defend? I guarantee they're all bigger, faster and stronger than Renee.
