I just dont understand how ya can all side with McDaniels...he is a nobody if you think about it...a 1st time head coach who screws up his most important relationship with his FRANCHISE QB and yes I think Cutler is that probably top 6-8 qb in league...Cutler doesnt like him nor does he want to play for him, he is that good that he can pull this stunt and guess what it seems to be working his way...

in the end they will both lose...Cutler is going to go to a much much worse team and Denver is going to be a shitty team with Simms at the helm...good luck to McDaniels with Chris Simms, lets see how long he last as a head coach at this point cant see him going past 3 years...

The average joe thinks that if you make millions for playing a game you should sit there never comment on anything and take whatever ownership dishes out. If you recall...Manning was also a baby who refused to play in SD and what did that get NY a superbowl ring...going back even further Elway cried about not wanting to go to Baltimore, Denver took the baby and rode him to 2 superbowls...not saying that Cutler will win SBs, but he is a HUGE talent that could give you the opportunity to get there...

A few days before the draft Archie Manning flew to SD, alone, to meet with then coach Marty Schottenheimer. Shottenheimer was trying to convince Archie the Chargers would be a good team for Eli. The day after the meeting Archie called Marty letting him don't draft Eli. He won't play for the Chargers.

No way this happens. I'm a Skins fan and Cooley is huge here. Probably as big or bigger a fan fave than Portis, not to mention a good young player. The one thing Snyder does know is marketing, and there's no way in hell is parting with Cooley in a trade for Cutler.

Hypothetical question...if it comes out that Cutler's Dad is behind all of this and telling Cutler not to return to Denver, would Cutler then cease to be a crybaby...and all is well and forgiven as in the elway and manning case...

I agree. The 3 tackles they are talking about are nice players but it's hard to tell if they are franchise #1 overall picks. The Lions have so many needs that they can address later in the draft. Why not fill the toughest position in the NFL with a guy who's already been to a Pro Bowl and isn't even 26 yet. Cutler is well worth the #1 even if he is a bit of a baby.

The Lions could turn their whole franchise around with that move. Sure their defense would still be bad, but a good offense helps a bad defense, and they would be exciting and put up points. Cutler, Calvin Johnson, and Kevin Johnson.
