I will say that give them time and they might turn things around.Hendrick said today they had a 3 hour meeting with them today and they are as focused as ever.He reminded everyone that last year the talk in the media was get rid of Steve Letart because Gordon wasn't running good.Now Gordon is leading the points.IMO you have 2 guys that are living in there fathers shadows(of Dale Sr and Tony Sr) and the pressure on both of them is alot to handle.Junior won alot of races under Tony Sr and that has to bee in the back of Tony Jr's mind.IMO Alan Gustafson is one of the best crew chiefs in nascar.Thats who I would like to see on the 88 box.Some people say well Gustafson was Kyle Busch's crew chief and he didn't win much until he left him.Well,also remember Kyle wrecked alot of winning race cars back then by driving crazy.Gustafson gave him a winning car many times and Kyle would wreck it cause he was going thru a learning curve of how to save a race car.I think Gustafson taught him pretty weel if you ask me..

I'm sorry but NO DOUBT. I simply have lost all faith in Eury at this point. I don't think he ever makes the right changes or calls and i really think they need to get a new guy in there. What do you think the #88 team would be doing with Chad Knaus running the show?

I'll add, Junior always sounds very frustrated and i really believe it is because the crew chief is clueless and nothing ever seems to get fixed right once it's gone.

What do you think the #48 team would be doing if Dale Jr was the one giving them the feedback on the car?You give Dale jr the best car out there and he can win.You give Dale Jr a 10th place car and he finishes 20th or worst.Drivers like Kyle,Carl and Jimmy can take a 5th place car and get a win with it.IMO the main problem is Tony Jr cant keep up with all the changes that a track goes thru during a race and Dale jr can't drive a car unless it's perfect.Those 2 combinations = 1 win every 2 years if you ask me.

I agree that there are better drivers out there than Jr. It doesn't change my opinion on Eury though and his crew chief skills. Dale Jr needs someone in there that is not family and that Jr respects. If that happens, look out. Until then, Jr is still living in the past with Eury.
