  • Weazels Arnold Palmer Invitational Picks

    Tourney Matchups
Kenny Perry -145 over Vijay Singh
Robert Allenby -140 over Adam Scott
Fred Couples -115 over Tom Lehman

Greens in regulation will be by far the most important stat this week. Perry has been at the top of his game for some time now. The rough will be shorter than usual this week. Perry is a bomber and finds the greens. Singh is getting up there in age and still recoverying from knee surgery. There is a time when a players game declines and I believe that time has come for Vijay. Fade him til the bookies adjust and match him up with lesser competition. He is no longer among the games elite. Fade Adam Scott. Most overrated player on tour. Believe he has knee issues latley. Consistent Allenby should be in the top 30 again this week. One thing I notice with Freddy is he's a course specialist. He always plays well on certain courses. See Riviera a month ago. He's nice and rested after not playing for a month. Lehman played well last week but fell apart Sunday when the pins were tucked. It will be like that every round this week. Lehman has been at the bottom of the barrell in GIR the last two seasons. Lehman had a string of missed cuts and a 40th place finish in Mexico which was a soft field. Tom hasn't had back to back top 25's in two years. When he produces one weak he has bombed the next. This could be due to his age or his wrist tendinits he's been dealing with. I'll take rested Freddy over old and hopefully worn out Lehman this week.

      GL Weazel,

Just a FYI, Lehman was leading after 3 rounds last week.

Kenny Perry may be older than Singh but I agree, take him over Singh.

I Love Allenby, he is the most underated star out there. And he usually starts the week strong.

Yeah you will get your money back. I believe the rules state that a player must tee off or complete 1 hole to have action.

                thanks guys!!!!!!!!

I tell you what,if Tiger don't win alot of people are going to be happy by hitting a pretty big play. There are some great odds on alot of good players.Hell,it looks like Tiger 9/4 then the rest of the field is 22/1 or higher.I had Kim at 28/1 thinking it was a steal but I got Kenny Perry at 28/1 also.Instead of puting $50 on Tiger I might pick me 5 guys at $10.00 each and try to hit a nice pot. What do you guys think?

Typically when I like a big fave, but have a feel for smaller guys I put my normal play on the main guy, and a bunch of small plays on other guys. This is what I did at the start of Madness. If I were you this is what I would do.

Put $20 on Woods. Spread the other 30 out among smaller guys at 5 here, 10 there. Hope one of the 20:1 shots comes in, and if their not close, hell you got Tiger left at +250 (wins 50 on a 20 bet). This way you don't get beat by Tiger, and don't regret not picking one of your favorite longshots.

Just a suggestion, I know very little about golf, or how to play profitably in such a sport.

Freddy Couples used his 1st round as if it were practice. 1 month off and the rust showed.
