Before the tourney started I reminded everyone that the faves went 25-7 in 2008 in the tourney. I think this year the 1st 2 rounds were 26-23-2. But, pretty much all the chalk advances to the sweet 16, so if anyone had future buts on total wins (which I have 5 teams left) one is in a great spot to hedge their bets, and make some money. I'm not claiming to be the smartest gambler out there, god knows I've made a ton fo bad plays in my life, but after last year I realized that the only way to bet the tourney is to bet on O/U wins, and sit back and get ready to hedge. The only one that blew up in my face was Over 1.5 wins for the SEC. I had to lay less units than I wanted to on UNC because they were huge favs. I thought the Vols were going to pull that one out. Good luck in the next few rounds, by the way, I wouldn't count on Memphis to be going much further.

cannot say I'm not surprised by the lack of comments. Most of us on this site have grown lazy and arrogant. Nobody likes to help one another out anymore, all people on here want to do is post their picks, and cap the games themselves. What do we get in return: people going .500 at best. Go ahead, look back at everyone's picks this past weekend , and you'll see that basically everyone on here posted a bunch of losers. Now, I didn't post any play; any square can do that. I come on this site to try to gain insight from others on teams that I don't know much about myself. Someone posting Villanova-3 doesn't really help me out at all. Why did you like them in that situation? I'm guilty of doing this in the past too, but I'm not going to do it anymore. The only two people that always write up a description is: Big Weiner and Griswold. Happens to be they are some of the best cappers on here. Tnsbreakers is doing it of late as well and I commend you for that. All I'm saying is that for us as a team, we need to stop all of this laziness and egomaniac crap, and start working together. Give your point of view on teams, games, etc. The more discussion the better.

I play a lot of ML dog parlays. Back in December, I put $20 on all of the late game underdogs to win $13,000+. They all hit, pending the 8pm Carolina/Giants game. I put all I had left in my account on the Giants ML. Of course the Giants won in overtime. The people on this site were very helpful on helping me figure out the best way to hedge.

A couple of times a year, I do the same thing on a smaller scale. It helps my bankroll because the risk is low, and payout is high.

I agree on Memphis. Pitt is going to have to step it up, or they will be gone. People are over looking Duke. They may surprise some people.

I think calling the people who won this week "weasels" is a bit uncalled for. Winning is winning, whether you eat chalk or bet all the dogs. However, I agree more discussion the better. but not everyone has time to write up every game they play. Guys like Grisworld can, and I think thats great and I commend him for that. But to ask for write-ups from everyone on every play would be difficult.

Also, your second comment "not surprised by the lack of comments", that's a shot at all of us. The reason no one responded is that you did not ask a question, you posted information, and yes it was useful, but it was also basically a small recap on how you played the tourney (hedging and betting and so on), and while I think your opinions on how to beat the books are great, they don't apply to too many people considering a lot of people simply bet the games, and not props.

Mavskidds, was not calling everyone on here chalk-eating-weasels, that is just a term people that handicap horses use a lot. Not intended to be a shot. Like I stated earlier, if you bet favs in the 1st round last year, you would have gone 25-7-nothing wrong with that. Just trying to get a point across that if we all work together, we have a better chance of earning $. Just think we need to discuss plays more than we do. We have 3 days before the sweet 16, so lets start capping now, put our plays out there asap, and instead of just saying: good luck, lets discuss the reasons we post plays. I have no problems with people asking me why I like this or that. I think we all should...

I stated earlier that I did not post any plays. This is not the first time I suggested that we do something like this. During football season I brought this idea up, but nobody jumped on board. Told everyone that I was good at capping SEC Fball/Bball, but did not know enough about the other confrences,other than doing what everyone else does, which is, go to a few sports sites, and look at past records, results, and trends. People on this site live all across the country, so I think we should focus on the confrences we know best.

Thanks for the compliment ( slur)......Lazy and arrogant...because we don't write up a justification for our picks.....That's already been done in my capping....don't have time, nor feel I need to justify my picks.....Maybe you're the ones that lazy, waiting for others to not only pick em, but expalin to you as why...

I take offense to that, and certainly others can also.....Had a 7-2 day for + 94.00 units....after day 4, I am up 92.50 units....Love them losers....

BULL SHIT....I've done it many a times when time allows, and so have many others, showing stats, reasons why I like a team....Play/post too many games to do this on a daily basis....as I've said earlier, I've already done my capping, stats, who's hot who's not, etc....how in the hell do you think I picked em....cause I like their uniforms...

Don't understand your logic on this thread, and really don't care to know, you're obviously in your own world....take the picks at face value, check out past performances, and either follow, fade, ignore, or do your own capping....this is the kind of BS talk I find frustrating for my self and others, to take the time to cap,psot, and get this kind of BS response....really makes one want to just quit....

Baylor stronger rated (sagarin), getting 3 against Auburn, but going with the Hot Home team....


Florida seeded higher and HOME, but giving up too many points to me.....Their D is not good enough to give up 10 1/2....Top 25 rating of SAGARIN (teams they've played in Sag top 25), has Penn St with a record of 4-3, Fla 1-1, I don't feel HOME court is worth this much....

I agree that more information would be helpful sometimes but after thinking about it it only gives more fuek to the bashers. Usually when some one has posted a play with an unusual reason hey post it. I do enjoy reading some of the well thought out posts but I do not think anyone is lazy because they don't give reasons. Many times the reasons are different for two cappers on the same game. This site is awesome with the way it is run and the cappers that come back day after day play after play win or lose and share the plays. I don't want to see it messed up because of wanting more insight. If i want it I'll ask before the game tips and maybe I'll get an answer maybe not but I'll not call anyone lazy for not posting. Just my degenerate opinion.
