  • World Baseball Classic Play from KAZ

I'm going to give a try at this. Not sure how this will turn out, but I think this play looks very solid.

Puerto Rico -1.5 -105 over Panama

This game is being played in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is considered one of the top teams in this pool. They will want to win this first game in front of the home crowd. The tourney is set up as double elimination, so no team takes any team lightly.

Now for the stats from the 2006 Classic.....

    BATTING....
    • Puerto Rico was 3rd in batting average at .286
    • Panama was second to last in batting average at .165

    PITCHING....
    • Puerto Rico was second in team ERA at 2.08 and ended up 4-2
    • Pananma was 0-3 with an ERA of 5.19

Let's back Puerto Rico -1.5 -105 for hopefully an easy first round game in the afternoon. Puerto Rico is -200 on the ML for those who have guts to lay the chalk.

I saw the line has completely jumped even since last night when I bet it at my offshore. I'm sure it's moving because people are realizing that Panama isn't very good and Puerto Rico has some very good talent. And they are at home.

I'd be willing to take a chance on it. I think Puerto Rico rolls them by at least 6. But who knows? It's baseball and players who haven't played for a while. The Dominican Rep is struggling with the Netherlands and they were a -6.5 run fav.

Puerto Rico has Carlos Betran, Alex Cora and Carlos Delgado in the batting lineup along with Javier Vazquez as the starting pitcher today.

KAZ #1. thanks for the response.

#2 thanks for the good info, really do appreciate it.

Was gonna play it last night, along with the DR. Decided to wait, turns out got in too late and couldn't play DR, which was a good thing, but have to pay a little more for PR. Way I look at it, I saved some money by getting in late. So I'm gonna ride with you on PR, good luck, hope they roll 'em
