Will be having a MLB 2009 Contest

More than likely a first half contest that ends at the all star break then a Second contest that starts after the all star break and ends when the regular season does.

Prizes are probably going to be some autographed items.

Personally I liked the one from 2 years ago where in the first half you picked any 5 teams per week and in the second half you picked any 5 teams that were -150 or less each week. Just a thought

Yes, they have always been a Saturday & Sunday only contest. They could choose either day to make their picks. It was never a pick 5 games contest either. The most we ever picked was 3 teams or 1 favorite and 1 dog (2 teams). If there was a pick 5 teams contest, it would have to have been the one year you ran the contest Monte. I'm not sure what that one was.

I think Monte ran it and yes it was pick 5 games per week on any day(s). All could be one day or you could spread it out over the week. That was the first half of the contest.

2nd half was same rules but you could only pick favs of -150 or less because too many people were picking -200+ favs only and it was not challenging at all.


If you go back to the year before last if those posts are still archived somewhere you should see what I was referring to.

Last year was just a Saturday or Sunday contest.

Here are the rules:

1. You must pick exactly 5 sides per week, Money Lines Only, No Run Lines
2. Pitching changes still count so take that into consideration
3. If a game is rained out you that does not count against your 5 picks for the week.
4. Closing lines from scoresandodds will be used (IE, Current lines)
5. Winner for the first half of the season which is when the all-star break occurs will be the person with the most units won. In case of a tie a tie-breaker to be determined later will be made up.
6. This contest is for regular posting members! If you're not a regular posting member you can play, however you must contribute outside of the contest! Which means posting plays, talking sports, talking non gambling. You cannot just go around wishing people good luck or gl.
7. You can make more than 1 side pick per day, but only 1 post per day. In other words if you make a side pick early in the day you cannot come back later that day to make another pick.



You have to go back to March of 2007 to find the posts for this contest. Just a suggestion here guys thats all.
