  • Dunkle lines & Picks of the day

Does anyone keep track of how good the picks of the day and the dunkle line pick do over the course of the year?

just curious, as i look over these great stats that they provide and use them to help me make my mind on somegames. i often wonder if some kept its winning percentages???

I'm sure he has thats why he's asking if anyone keeps up with Dunks record.
It would be tough to do cause the Dunk post every game.Try keeping up with that on a 120 game Saturday
IMO it's just like anybody else.Sometimes it gets hot and sometimes not.

If so then you would have to try and keep a record. And if they have an opinion on every game that would be a pain in the ass to try and keep up with. I was under the impression they have plays of the day which are much smaller in numbers.

I will say the Picks of the day and Projected scores and Hot picks which is only 2 or 3 picks per sport is easy to track and I have seen it get on a pretty good roll

The plays of the day are just a couple of games but he also mentioned what was Dunkels percentage. Why don't you track that with Ace's plays for us Monte It shouldn't take long

                Guys,

I'm as curious as anyone about this. Let's track them for a month. Let's track Dunkels' picks of the day and the side and total plays of the day from "Tips and Trends".

After the conclusion of tonight's games, I'll come back in here and post a reply that looks something like this:

                As of 2/23/09

                Week 1 Dunkel NBA:
                Week 1 Dunkel NCAAB:
                Week 1 Dunkel NHL:
Week 1 Side Play of the Day:
Week 1 Total Play of the Day:

Will that do it? We can just keep a running total. Whoever sees the final scores first can just copy the last posted results and change the numbers.

As far as Pick 'n' Roll, College Funds and Ice Picks go, we post those more for the articles than the picks. We can sure include them, though, if you guys would like to.

                Whaddaya think, guys?

By the way, Dunkel's NCAAB pod hit easily tonight. Their NBA fave and NHL dog pod's could still go either way.

Side of the Day lost badly and Total of the Day hasn't started yet.

Sportsymylife could probably keep track, he bet 76 games last Saturday, so he pretty much tracks 'em all

Can you break down the pick of the day as well for each week?

I think posting their top plays along with how they are doing is a good idea so we can see how they are actually doing and if there is any advantage in their plays.

                      As of 2/23/09

Week 1 Dunkel NBA pod: 0-1 (Knicks -6 last night)
Week 1 Dunkel NCAAB pod: 1-0 (Kansas +4 last night)
Week 1 Dunkel NHL pod: 0-1 (Stars +145 last night)
Week 1 Side Play of the Day: 0-1 (Georgetown +1 last night)
Week 1 Total Play of the Day: 0-1 (Celtics/Nuggets over 203 last night))

Not an impressive start for the pod's. We'll keep watching what happens.

As soon as I get time, today, I'll see how Dunkel did overall and let you know.

                        Guys,

I'm starting to remember why it's so hard to track Dunkel. They post before some of the games are even on the board.

Also, line movements, throughout the day, make it really hard to determine a win or loss. There were two instances, yesterday, that depended entirely on line movements. If you got the opening line, you covered. If you played the closing line, you missed.

The following results, for Monday, are based on opening lines of the games that were on the board when Dunkel posted.

                        Dunkel Overall 2/23/09

                        NBA sides: 1-3
                        NBA totals: 2-2
                        NCAAB sides: 3-1
                        NHL sides: 0-1
                        NHL totals:1-0

Week 1 Dunkel NBA pod: 1-1 (won Heat -4)

Week 1 Dunkel NCAAB pod: 1-1 (won Tex. A&M +3.5)

Week 1 Dunkel NHL pod: 0-2 (lost Vancouver +100)

The following results, for Tuesday, are based on opening lines of the games that were on the board when Dunkel posted.

Dunkel Overall 2/24/09 - week's running total in parentheses

                            NBA sides: 2-5-1 (3-8-1)
                            NBA totals: 3-5 (8-7)
                            NCAAB sides: 5-7-1 (8-8-1)
                            NHL sides: 4-7 (4-8)
                            NHL totals: 5-5-1 (6-5-1)

                            Guys,

Once again, results were dependent on line moves. In the NBA, there were two instances. If you took the Grizzlies, you lost with the opening line but won with the closing.

If you took the Rockets at -4, you pushed. At -4.5, or more, you lost.
