Miami Heat at Philadelphia 76ers [7 PM ET]

Heat: Miami broke a five-game series losing streak to the 76ers in the last meeting earlier this season, routing them 106-83. However, the Heat have still lost the last four road meetings and 10 of the last 11 played at the Wachovia Center. They have also dropped three of their last four overall following a tough 93-90 loss at Detroit on Wednesday. “It did lead to a loss but it was a good game,” said Miami star Dwyane Wade, who totaled 29 points and 13 assists. “It was one of those games where we fought.”

Heat are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games.
The OVER is 8-1 in Miami's last 9 road games.

Key Injuries - G Daequan Cook (thigh) is OUT.

    PROJECTED SCORE: 95

76ers (-4, O/U 193.5): Philly came together as a team after finding out that Elton Brand would need to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery on Thursday. All five starters scored in double figures in a 99-94 win over Indiana. “We have to rally around each other and go out there and pick up our play on both ends of the floor,” said Philadelphia guard Willie Green, who scored a game-high 23 points. “We can make it work, we just have to make it work,” Sixers swingman Andre Iguodala said. “It’s as simple as that.”

Home team is 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings.
The UNDER is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings.

Key Injuries - F Elton Brand (shoulder) is OUT.

    PROJECTED SCORE: 99

          Six-pack for Saturday

-- Good news- the NBA added HORSE competition to its All-Star Weekend; not sure which three players will compete in HORSE.

-- We're still hoping that someday, the NBA holds a 1-on-1 event to benefit charity, with either 32 or 64 players participating.

-- Arizona Cardinals fired their defensive coordinator? There has to be more to this story than meets the eye. Five days after playing in the Super Bowl, Redbirds have lost both coordinators, their QB is unsure if he's returning and their #2 WR wants to be traded. Ugh.

-- New Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin had to apologize after he wrongly accused Urban Meyer of cheating in recruiting, but the SEC rule he violated wasn't for being wrong, but for publicly calling out another coach in the league.

-- In other words, even if he was right, he would have gotten a wrist slap for airing the league's dirty laundry in public.

-- How happy is Michael Phelps today? With the latest news in the A-Rod/steroids saga, Phelps is truly yesterday's news.

Saturday's List of 13: American League teams' top prospects

I'm trying to eliminate guys who already have been in the majors. Baltimore-- Matt Wieters, C-- Hit .355 in low minors last year, night be the best player in whole minor leagues.

Boston-- Michael Bowden, P-- Went 9-7, 2.62 LY, between AA and AAA- could be first starter called up from Boston's farm teams.

White Sox-- Chris Getz, 2B-- Hit .302 in AAA last year, with eleven homers and eleven steals. Is 26 though, little old for a prospect.

Cleveland-- Matt LaPorta, OF-- Tribe didn't give CC Sabathia away for nothing; this prospect hit .279 with 22 home runs at AA LY.

Detroit-- Rick Porcello, P-- 8-6, 2.66 in Class A LY; Tigers had him work on his sinker, so his strikeout numbers suffered.

Kansas City-- Daniel Cortes, P-- Went 10-4, 3.78 in AA LY, he had 109 strikeouts in 116.2 IP.

LA Angels-- Anthony Ortega, P-- Went 14-7, 3.46 moving up from AA to AAA last year, making 28 starts.

Minnesota-- Luke Hughes, IF-- Australian hit .319 in AA, .283 in AAA, Twins are pointing him towards third base this spring.

Bronx-- Austin Jackson, CF-- Doesn't make enough contact yet, but is athletic enough to play CF in bigs, and Lord knows the Bombers have a need for a good defensive centerfielder.

Oakland-- Trevor Cahill, P-- 11-5, 2.61 in High A, AA ball last year; sinkerballer who throws 95 mph fastball.

Seattle-- Michael Saunders, CF-- Hit .277 with 11 homers, 12 steals, mostly in AA last year- is supposed to be an excellent centerfielder.

Tampa Bay-- Wade Davis, P-- David Price doesn't count anymore in this category. Davis was 13-8, 3.47 in 28 minor league starts LY.

Texas-- Elvis Andrus, SS-- If they moved Michael Young to 3B, they have to think Andrus is the real deal at short.

Toronto-- JP Arencibia, C-- Say that name three times fast; he threw out 34% of base stealers LY, and he hit .298 in low minors.
