  • San Diego question

If you played for the Chargers who are 1-5 I think...which means your season is in the shitter already; and your family lived in San Diego which is basically on fire; and your stadium is now a shelter.......would you give a fuck about a football game you probably couldn't win with all things normal????

Add to the mix, you're not that fucking good to begin with.

What do I know......but looking at all this mess........plus Ricky Williams THRIVES for MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL......it would be a fiasco if SD indeed covered/won this game!

MIA is 4-2 ATS in the last six meetings.
MIA is 3-0 ATS on the road this season.
Under is 5-1 in Dolphins last six played on grass.
Under is 5-1 in the last six meetings.
SD is 1-5 ATS in last six vs. AFC East div.oppnts

Add to this EVERY Miami game has gone under this year except for the opening day freak loss at home vs. Houston (20-21)!

What would worry me some is the rust on Griese EQUALING turnovers and Brees beginning to heat it up.....

It appears as though the UNDER is the solid play of the night!

    FWIW! JMHO Gv

      Pre Game Pep Talk :

A smart coach would use this fire to " heat " up his team is another angle to this and now is the " perfect " time to use the ole Gipper angle with the ole we owe it to the city thing , give them something else to think about .

I am going to go with the over tonight for very strange reasons and special teams will help me reach my goal ( if I get there ) . I have a feeling they are going to let Rusty Greise throw a bit more often , and thats where I want to cash in at ! And I did take note of the fact that Miami allows a whopping 250 yds per game thru the air as opposed to just 69 on the ground ..... look for returns to score on both sides tonight ?

          Its a Over Week 8-3

And without getting into this to deep , my line of reasoning is the mid-season adjustments by the books :

for the year - all dogs 51-60-3 45.95%
          last 30 days-all dogs 34-33-1 50.75% ( this is ^ )

for the year - home dogs 10-22-0 31.25%
          last 30 days- home dogs 7/12-0 - 36.80% ( this is ^ )

for the year - away favs 22-10-0 68.75%
          last 30 days - away favs. 12-7-0 63.16% ( this is down )

all these are just 5% adjustments across the board , but they hold alot of water with me.

          G.L.

and Miami`s not a blow-out type team , they will run with a small lead and play it very close to the vest.

            Gipper factor

You have swayed my opinion W/the gipper factor.Over is the way to go.How many times can an under come in?this one soars over 38.
            Thanks for you insight.

              From a Miami Newspaper:

The Dolphins landed amid a haze of smoke and ash at 7:30 p.m. EST Sunday and never unpacked their plane because they were told before the flight that tonight's 9 p.m. game could be moved. They will leave this morning for the Phoenix area.

''We're traveling anyway,'' Wannstedt said. ``We've got a very mature football team. I think our guys are mature enough to deal with the change in the schedule because they understand the importance of the game.''

For the Chargers, the change of venue is more chaotic. The team quickly packed its equipment and chartered a plane. A number of Chargers players also had to evacuate their homes as the fires burned through communities neighboring the team's practice facility in San Diego County. Their walk-through practice was canceled, too.

''[The Chargers] are going through a lot right now, too,'' Dolphins linebacker Zach Thomas said. ``They've got to get their equipment packed and ready to go, and they were expecting to play at home.

Excellent job as usual M&M with your #'s!!

It is how I said it......"It APPEARS the UNDER is the solid play"!

I will be the first one to damn sure say this Sunday that EVERY GAME that APPEARED to be a solid pick in a direction was in fact the the flip side......So naturally the plays tonight would dictate to play SD and the over given all the rational supporting Miami and the Under!! What a WEIRD first half of the season!

Did you notice as of yesterday that of the 6 NFC playoff teams from last year that NONE have a record over .500...........AND of the 6 AFC THERE were only 2! (Indy & Tenn)!!

I agree with you that you can throw out the woe is me disaster thing because after the first sloberknocker hit to the helmets the adrenelin turns on and attention and focus is directed at the enemy.....and then

The Road Favorite wins in ATS numbers will come down for sure or several boys will be packing their collective spread laying bags for next year as the money boys won't tolerate a mammoth disparity like this for long!

                    but

the emotion will be great for SD......my question is how their preparation was this week. Do not underestimate preparation for a game against a quality team like Miami. Miami had clear heads and prepped well; San Diego did not.

                    PS
The Gipper speech worked at Notre Dame. They were the best team in college football. San Diego is 1-5. You can polish a turd; but it's still a piece of shit.

                      Coach :

you hit the nail on the head , Emotion will be " great " for S.D.

Ans thats exactly what this gal is betting on , I aint no service so my 2 cents are just that but I watch this game very closely in hopes of someday getting a better grip on how the books beat us at it. That being said and just posting the other day about a mid-season adjustment ( that will and does happen ) every year brings me to lean on the dog here . And getting the extra 3 points sure didnt hurt my cause either . I can be as wrong as the next gal but just not as often !

                        G.V.

I am in total agreement with all that you said , and parity is here to stay . Its almost a type of year that when you settle in to a pick , toss it and go the other way ( especialy this week-end )

And you count on one thing , thats dont count on nothing !

Good Luck to you. The great thing about this site is that people can shoot the shit and BS about whom they like. That's how gambling got started. I may be wrong tonight; but I love Miami. I won't bet this month's rent on it, so it should be fun to watch!!! I am heading to Wheeling on Saturday, November 8. I will remind you to help me out in the PM slate. Once again good luck to all that play tonight's game and for my two cents......GO MIAMI!!!

                            Illogical

Two one-sided blow outs in a row.I don't think so.This one stays close with more scoring than anticipated.
                            IMHO

worth a small wager just for the heck of it.
