  • Someone please explain this prop, doesn't make sense

On BJ they have the alternate lines and one is Pitt -17.5 at +350. Then I look at the props where you pick the margin of victory.....ie......Pitt wins by 1 to 3 points, pitt wins by 4-6 points, etc. The highest one is Pitt wins by 18 or more and it is +900

Alright, what am I missing? Isn't this the same bet? In both they have to win by 18 points or more to win the bet? Why is one +350 and the other +900??

    Let's see...should I take the bet at +350 or +900? Hmmm....let me think.

You're right, Harold. It's the same bet.

      Actually yes and no.

If pitt wins by 18 you win the -17.5 bet and push the -18 bet.

Obviously, though the odds of pitt falling right on -18 are slim so I say if you like that wager take the -18 +900

The prop bet is for Pitt to win by 18 or more, Monte. So if they win by 18 the proposition wins rather than pushes..

Thanks. I really like this wager because Pitt will want their
defense on the field and Arizona will want their explosive
              offense on the field first.

Thanks Garth you're correct so everyone disregard what I said as I misread the prop.

Bet 1000 on Pitt to win by 18 or more= 9000

                    Risk4000 on Ariz at +17 1/2 -400=4000

You win 3000 if Aiz covers and 5000 if Pitt covers.

                    Right.....or am I missing something????????
