I've come roaring back from a brutal late season NFL slump to be within a whisker of profitability for the season. My NFL has been below may standards this year and dragged down a strong college season.
I won with a 3* in the AFC finals on Pittsburgh as I finally got Baltimore's woeful offense out of the playoffs.
On to the Super Bowl......
Opinion only:
Steelers -6 1/2 (-115)
I'm betting this game but for a very small amount and much less than a regular play. Pittsburgh is probably going to win but the line is higher than I'd like. While the hot team at the end of the year usually wins the Super Bowl (like last year's Giants), Arizona is too deeply flawed. This is a team that gave up over 40 points three times in the regular season. Teams like that don't win championships. While the Cardinals' defense has been excellent in the post-season, there have been numerous games where it just imploded. I believe Pittsburgh can pressure Warner. When that has happened this year, he has been off his game. If Warner can be rushed, the brilliant Arizona pass game can be somewhat negated. As for the Steelers, they are a pass-first team despite their reputation as grinders. They aren't out of it if they fall behind.
My bottom line:
Pittsburgh has been outstanding in its post season games and has played consistently all year. Arizona is flashier and red hot. I have no idea on the total and just a lean on the Steelers.
I honestly think there'll be an easier play to cash next week in the Pro Bowl......
