Sunday's List of 13: Wrapping up a sports Saturday.........

              13) Tremendous move by the Rams, signing up Steve Spagnuolo as head coach; hopefully, this era of dysfunctional BS at Rams' Park is now over. Curious to see who he'll get as coordinators.........

              12) Last unbeaten team in college basketball was 33 years ago, so we know that everyone loses eventually; Pitt, Clemson got their first on Saturday, leaving Wake Forest as the last unbeaten. Deacons pass the ball really well, have some depth, are athletic-- very nice team.

              11) Pitt-Louisville game was excellent, hard-fought game; Cardinals have played lot of close games already in league play. Panthers were +7 when Blair was in game, -13 when he was out, so his foul trouble was the deciding factor in the game.

              10) I'm not big fan of noon games; I know they're done for TV, but kids seem to have hard time getting started. Florida State got behind 5-0 to Maryland after just 0:50, so Leonard Hamilton used time-out before some of the other noon games had even started.

              9) Wright State's Troy Tabler, a freshman playing 13 minutes/game for the Raiders, is the son of former major leaguer Pat Tabler.

              8) Orlando swept season series from Lakers and Spurs this year, both for first time ever.

              7) If you want to win a bet, the average club speed for a PGA pro is 112 mph.

              6) Butler took 54 shots at Illinois-Chicago Saturday, 39 behind arc, 15 inside it; this is a team thats unbeaten in their league.......top three scorers for Bulldogs are two freshmen and a sophomore.

              5) Solid weekend for Washington Huskies, who crushed Oregon and Oregon State, after losing in triple OT to Cal in their previous game.

              4) Iona also had terrific weekend, sweeping Buffalo schools, winning in double OT at Canisius Saturday; Gaels are now 4-4 in MAAC.

              3) Tennessee beat South Carolina 82-79, almost blowing 17-pt lead to gritty Gamecocks. Vols just aren't very good on defense.

              2) So Clemson lost their first game Saturday, no big deal, but up next for Tigers is a trip to their personal hell, Chapel Hill, where Clemson is 0-53........yes, 0-53. Its hard to be 0-53 at anything.

              1) How about UCLA not scoring for last 8:09 of regulation in their OT loss to Arizona State? Big win for the Sun Devils, who trailed at one point by 11- they snapped a 5-game skid in Westwood.
