  • Andru Jones future Yankee ?

As a Dodgers fan I hate or "dislike" Andru Jones and The Yankees almost equally. At this point I hink the yankees is the best fit for that fat f* and I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a decent season next year.

What's he gonna do, scrub toilets? Cause he damn sure hasn't played any ball the last few years...

Few means 3-4, he didn't play well last year. Prior to that the guy was very good. Even in 2007, 25+ HR aint too bad IMO. And barring his rookie season in ATL, he averaged well over 30 HR a season and near if not over 100+ RBIs a year.

I think its stupid to write a guy off for ONE bad year, despite ten good ones, especially one in which he was injured. If I was any GM, and I mean ANY I would take a shot on Andruw.

In 2007 he hit .222 with more strikeouts than hits and an obp of just over .300. Thats not a good year.

I've heard he's working very hard this offseason. We'll see what happens with Andruw but I hope he bounces back.

I forgot that Jones was the typical leadoff hitter expected to hit .300 every year. Ryan Howard hits .240 last year and no one says a word. But you're right .222 unacceptable, and okay you can throw '07 in there as a bad year

I'll still take the 9 consistent years over the 2 bad ones ten times out of ten, and the guy isn't worth a huge contractor anything but still definitely worth a shot, and might still have some ball left in him. That's all I'm saying.

I pray so, b/c as vols fan mentioned, there is a lot of talk on talk radio that the BRaves may sign him. He is a fat and lazy turd in my book. I was floored at the stupidity of the Dodgers when they gave him that massive deal. That was easily won of hte worst contracts is major league history, and I was saying that the day the deal was made, not just in hindsight. He is a TERRIBLE hitter. I guess if whoever signs him could get him for a couple million, he'd be worht a gamble, but I dont' want him.

They showed him Wednesday night on TV at the Georgia Tech/Duke basketball game with a Braves hat on.The thing that pissed alot of people off is I think the Brave hinted around that if they brought him back they would want him to start in the minors and he said he didn't want to do that.He needs to get his hitting back and IMO the minors is where he needs to be

I'm huge Brave fan and I would take Andruw back for a few mill a year. Guy knows the center of Turner Field better than anybody and he's certainly an improvement in the field from Kotsay or Blanco or whoever else the want to throw back there. I would take him back specifically for his fielding reasons and if a good bat decides to show, that's just a bonus.

Plus aside from Lowe, the Braves have made 0 big moves this off-season and they definitely need to when they finished 15-20 games out of first last year.

if he could just be the designated fielder (kinda like a DH but a DF), i'd love to have him back...i'd rather have glavine bat instead of him, or smoltz when we had him

i just can't sit through another season of 2 on 2 out, 1-2 count everyone in the stands knows the breaking pitch will be low and 3 feet off the plate, and he's still gonna swing and miss...i just can't take that again...

If he turns out to have another bad year at the plate, which he might not if he fully recovers from injury, then he can just bat 8th. I think people are getting on him for two bad years at the plate, and disregarding what he did before that and his 10 straight gold gloves in the field. No one, can honestly tell me that his bat is that much worse than Kotsay's
