  • Percy Harvin going Pro

About fricking time someone besides the Bulldogs have someone jump ship. I know Florida has all the talent in the world, but Harvin made that offense hum, and he will missed in Gainesville.

Where does he project? No way he's top 10 right?

I would like to see the niners draft crabtree or percy but I don't think crab will be there and I think 10 is a reach for percy.

Florida WR Percy Harvin will forgo his senior season with the Gators and enter the NFL Draft.

Used all over the field in Urban Meyer's spread attack, Harvin averaged 11.8 yards per touch in 2008 with 17 all-purpose TDs. He projects as an explosive slot receiver, although playing flanker in an Eddie Royal-like role shouldn't be ruled out. Harvin's durability and size are concerning, however. The Gators listed him at 5'11/195. We're guessing Harvin is closer to 5'9. Jan. 15 - 12:51 pm et

Well, here we are again - talking SEC stuff. Waynechung will be by later when the Vols are on the Table.

Percy Harvin will be a loss of stretching the field for Tebow and if it wasn't for the Bama game. some would wonder if Florida could win a big game. Harvin ha been compared to Ginn Jr of the Dolphins and that is not bad company. He possesses the quickest feet seen in awhile and beats all other wide receivers as far as speed. Of course, the combine may present how really fast he is.

Florida has other backs that are speedy and have racded to a draw with him, so I have to say quick as a cat, really might explain his true worth to a team. I know Dallas will be in the ***** of things for Crabtree or Harvin, unloading TO and taking another defensive player when this has been addressed.

On the other hand, Brandon Spikes staying at UF is good but we had the position covered, if he was moving on. Brandon works well at OLB and is the leader of our defense. Our defense at UF may be our all time best this decade. Confidence does that to a body.

On Percy's lingering injury problems. Didn't hurt Ginn Jr and won't hurt Harvin. If a team needs speed to open up their attack, then you push the buttom and grab the best. Florida and USC, etc. have stock piled speed to win over the college football sector. Pros are no different. They put up with Moss and TO, they take chances to bring the beat to the table.

Yeah, an argument can be made that Florida wouldn't have beat Oklahoma w/out Harvin either. 5 catches for 50 yards, 9 rushes for 122 yards and a TD. Rainey, Demps, and others have the speed, but they aren't Harvin

I heard Harvin projected as second half of the first round pick, depending on how he teste at the combine.

The rushing alone was a big help but the talent that your best player possesses is correlated with how well can your defense contain him. The OK defense was ready but unable to stop him in any capacicity. He will be missed.

Don't bet on it. As you will see, speed is like an aphrodisiac to owners. They will, of course, do their homework on the playability factor but will not let him slip past 16 into the second realm.
