those were the first 2 schools that came to mind. Dont go confusing me for a BIG 12 fan. Because I am not - they sure proved how stout they were in football in the bowl games. Schools like Florida came to mind , but they havent had the success in bball over the last couple of seasons.

Ummm...........what? I'm confused, Big 12 proved how they stout they were in the bowl games? Maybe you meant the SEC, b/c I'm pretty sure the top 4 teams in the Big 12 (Okla, Tex, TT, and Okl St) combined for a 1-3 record, w/ the win coming on a play against a weak OSU team w/ less than 20 seconds to go.

Also not sure what you mean by saying "Schools like Florida came to mind, but they haven't had the success in bball over the last couple of seasons" when they won the championship in 2007. They did have a drop off last year, but they did lose their entire starting five from the NC team.

sorry for being unclear....my point was the big 12 was overrated in football, hence their bowl game performances...and as far as florida goes, this year and last year have been down years bc like u said they lost a lot of players, so i did not include them in the elite when it comes to football AND basketball for RIGHT NOW.
