Ok ..ok.. It's not really a rat of the century . Just a nice angle between 2 hot teams going into the final round of the playoffs....
...after a blowout in philly on thanksgiving day...the stage is set for round 2 of a lackluster series that is owned by the eagles...
However...i believe that the eagles will run out of gas in arizona this weekend !
Why ???
First of all, the eagles feel confident that they can bring down the surprising #4 seeded cards even in Arizona...last weekend in a game, i gave out, (the eagles) as they ripped the defending world champ and hated rival giants in the meadowlands)..quite an extraordinary feat.
The eagles are soaring....i do believe it took a tremendous amount of emotional effort to take down the giants. Teams are not able to regroup after doing so unless they have the extra week prior to the superbowl to re-energize...
This has happened 10 times since 1982...and teams that knock off the defending champs are 0-10 strait up and 1-9 ats the following week. In this case it doesn't matter because the eagles are a 4 pt fav on the road in arizona..the cards will be relaxed at home with the noisy crowd and content just to have gone this far in 2008 !
